Born and raised in the bay area, California, Lola Bandz is no stranger to resilience. Growing up in an environment marked by instability, responsibility found her early. As the eldest of six, she learned the weight and the strength of leadership before she ever knew it was a skill. Those early years shaped her work ethic, sharpened her awareness, and fueled her storytelling voice — raw, emotional, and unflinchingly real.

Lola began writing her debut novel, Fyast Life, in 2006. The story held pieces of her truth, which made finishing it both necessary and difficult. After stepping back to breathe and grow, she returned to the manuscript with renewed purpose and completed it in 2009. From there, her pen did not let up. Her follow-up project, The Diamond and Dolce Outlaws, first emerged as a six-part short series and has since evolved into a full trilogy — a testament to her ability to expand worlds and deepen emotional impact.

Known for delivering classic hood narratives with depth, heart, and cinematic tension, Lola writes for readers who crave authenticity — stories that feel lived in, not manufactured. Her work reflects struggle, beauty, loyalty, survival, and love in its rawest forms.

Today, Lola continues to build her literary universe while raising her son, Lannon, and cultivating space for readers and writers who see themselves in her words. She remains committed to telling stories that are bold, emotional, and unapologetically Black — stories that refuse to look away.
